Our Mission

We are co-led by the University of Minnesota’s Institute for Engineering in Medicine and Massachusetts General Hospital’s Center for Engineering in Medicine and Surgery. ATP-Bio brings together researchers, educators, clinicians, ethicists, and policy experts across top-tier institutions to:

  • Develop pioneering biotechnologies
  • Evaluate ethical, legal, and societal implications (ELSI)
  • Train the next generation of bioengineers and ethics leaders
  • Engage with the public and build trust in scientific innovation
