Project 1: Establishing an Inclusive Culture

Goal: provides APT-Bio community with key tools, practices, and policies to establish an inclusive culture

Activities and accomplishments

  • Established a DCI strategic plan

  • ATP-Bio Statement on Diversity and Culture of Inclusion

  • ATP-Bio Code of Conduct

  • Launched DCI assessments and surveys to assess Center baseline

  • Hosted Center-wide events and programming 


Project 2: Increasing Representational Diversity

Goal: supports the ATP-Bio strategic plan by supporting recruitment, retention, hiring, and inclusive practices. 

Activities and accomplishments

  • Launched a Strategic Recruitment Plan

  • Collaborated with EWD on REU recruitment

  • Collected baseline demographics across the Center

  • Hosted an REU mentor education program


Project 3: Creating Education Opportunities

Goal: supports the ATP-Bio strategic plan by providing critical experiences and tools to support an inclusive culture.
