Featuring ATP-Bio Integrated Thrust Area Trainee Co-Leads:

Zonghu Han (UMN): Dr. Han is a UMN mechanical engineering postdoc studying organ cryopreservation, kidney vitrification, and scalable rewarming, contributing to the first long-term cryopreservation and transplant of a mammalian organ.

Purva Joshi (MGH): Dr. Joshi is a postdoctoral research fellow at MGH/Harvard Medical School’s Center for Engineering in Medicine and Surgery. Her work focuses on scalable vitrification and ice-free preservation technologies for whole organisms and complex biological systems.

Nikolas Zuchowicz (UMN): Nikolas is a PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering at UMN. His work spans conservation cryobiology, equipment design, and scientific diving, with emphasis on preservation technologies for aquatic organisms and coral reef systems.
