ABOUT CRYO2025

The Society for Cryobiology‘s annual CRYO meeting is the world’s premier meeting devoted to all aspects of low temperature biology and medicine, comprising both the fundamental science of ice formation as well as branching into niche sub-disciplines. 

CRYO2025 marks the Society for Cryobiology’s first return to Germany since CRYO2006 held in Hamburg.

CRYO2025 heralds a number of exciting changes:

  • a plenary focussed program of broad category themes eg Cooling/Warming Technologies, Biomedical Engineering, Complex Organs and Organisms, and much more

  • a return to a 4 day meeting, allowing additional time for social and networking activities

  • an all inclusive registration fee which includes the conference banquet

  • opportunity for pre-meeting local lab tours

ABOUT THE SOCIETY FOR CRYOBIOLOGY

The Society for Cryobiology was founded in 1964 to bring together those from the biological, medical and physical sciences who have a common interest in the effect of low temperatures on biological systems. The purpose of the Society is to promote scientific research in low temperature biology, to improve scientific understanding in this field, and to disseminate and apply this knowledge to the benefit of mankind. The Society for Cryobiology publishes its signature journal Cryobiology in conjunction with Elsevier. 

The Society for Cryobiology welcomes membership applications from students and individuals involved in cryobiology research in industry, academia, government, and non-profit organizations.
